Scholarships

The Buck Stops Here Live™ scholarships are offered to residents of Greater Hampton Roads and Northeastern North Carolina and to students pursuing ANY major. Students interested in our scholarships should contact us at 757-966-1568.

Scholarships are as follows:

The Buck Stops Here Live Merit Scholarship
Scholarship Award $2,500 (High School Graduating Seniors Only)
The Buck Stops Here Live Scholarship for Community College or University Undergraduates
Scholarship Award $2,500.00 (Students must complete 9 hours or more during semester)
The Buck Stops Here Live Scholarship for Graduate Students
Scholarship Award $3,000.00

All Majors

The Buck Stops Here Live™ scholarships must be utilized solely for the purpose of paying tuition and fees and will be disbursed directly to the educational institution for the upcoming semester. In addition to the scholarships, funds will be granted in the amount of $250 to assist in covering personal needs. Scholarships are awarded for the fall and spring semesters. Scholarship awards can only be applied to courses taken on the campus of any Community College or University in the Commonwealth of Virginia. In addition, a modest amount of $250 will be provided to the high school, college/university, or church affiliation of any applicant who is awarded the aforementioned scholarship. Courses on which students spend the scholarships must be completed successfully, or the scholarship will be revoked.

Eligibility

Open and closing dates for applicants:

Students can only apply during the open enrollment period.
Fall semester opens on March 15th and closes on June 15th of each year (Application must be postmarked by June 15th.)
Spring semester opens on August 15th and closes on November 15th of each year (Application must be postmarked by November 15th.)

Application Procedures

Students may apply for scholarships during the above-mentioned dates only. Employees, affiliates, business partners, contractors, or first-tier family members of Entity Professionals, LLC and The Buck Stops Here Live!TM representatives are ineligible for TBSHL scholarships. (The Buck Stops Here Live!TM is a trademark of Entity Real Estate Holding, LLC.)
Applications for scholarships should include:

Application fee of $25.00 check or money order, payable to Entity Professionals, LLC.
Cover sheet listing the following: name, student number, telephone number(s), e-mail address, mailing address, overall GPA, and GPA in current courses.
A two-page, double-spaced, typed essay (250 words or less) that includes a discussion of the following:

The role of favor (God’s hand) in business in creating a better society.
Your plans for implementing favor during your degree studies.
Your personal and professional goals.

Official Transcript from current High School or College
Two Letters of Recommendation (One from a full-time faculty member. One from a member of the local community.)
